Install error on Steam Deck

I'm running into an error when trying to install on SteamDeck (tried latest beta 2.11.1-beta.2 and stable 2.10.0):
error while loading shared libraries: libwebkit2gtk-4.1.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

SteamOS doesn't ship WebKitGTK (the library OpenSave's UI needs), so the regular Linux build can't start on a stock Deck, and installing the library manually via pacman doesn't survive SteamOS updates.

The proper fix just shipped; as of v2.1.1-beta.3 there's an official Flatpak that bundles everything the app needs. I don't have a deck myself so and since you have the physical hardware it would help a lot if you could confirm:

• the app launches and the UI works properly
• auto-scan finds your Proton game saves (and SD-card content, if you use one)
• pairing and syncing with another device works

I'll keep this open until the issue is fully resolved. Thanks again for reporting!

1. Download OpenSave.flatpak from the v2.1.1-beta.3 release

2. Double-click it to install via Discover, or run flatpak install --user ~/Downloads/OpenSave.flatpak in Konsole

3. Launch from the app menu — optionally right-click → Add to Steam to use it from Game Mode

I tested the flatpack, and it install and runs fine !
It successfully detected my Proton games, but not my emulators (installed with Emudeck, with the save data on a SD card).
I haven't yet tested the sync feature but I tested the cloud backup with webdav. I need to do more tests, but there seem to be some issues (or I don't understand the feature properly). I uploaded a game snapshot that has save data (Celeste), the process went fine but the zip snapshot was empty.
I'll do more testing soon and report here.

Emulators (EmuDeck): confirmed gap, and your report got it fixed, the next beta detects the whole EmuDeck Emulation/saves tree, internal storage and SD card both, one entry per emulator.

The empty Celeste zip: the upload pipeline sends whatever the snapshot contains, so I suspect the snapshot itself was empty rather than the upload losing data. Could you check two things?

1. In OpenSave, what save path is Celeste tracked at? If it's ~/.local/share/Celeste but you play the Steam (Proton) version, the real saves live inside compatdata and the tracked folder may genuinely be empty, the scan offers the native-Linux path when it exists, even if stale.

2. Check ~/.opensave/backups//main/ are the local snapshot zips also empty (under ~1 KB)? And if you still have it, the Activity tab logged a line like cloud: uploading … (N MB), what size did it say?

That'll tell us if it's a detection issue or something in the snapshot-upload chain. Either way it's fixable :)
