Additional context

• The physical device is a Thermalright Peerless Vision 360 AIO, but TRCC Linux identifies it as GrandVision 360 AIO, however it properly renders "Peerless Vision" as a tab name.
• USB ID: 87ad:70db (ChiZhu Tech USBDISPLAY).
• Handshake: Bulk protocol, PM=4, SUB=5, FBL=72, 480x480, JPEG.
• Tested with TRCC Linux 9.9.5-1 installed from the native Arch/CachyOS package.
• The LCD works: the GUI detects it, themes and backgrounds display correctly, and a mask with live CPU/GPU temperature overlays renders and update correctly.
• No USB communication errors were observed in log.
• The device also works in Thermalright's Windows TRCC application, and the configuration sits just in tab named "Peerless Vision" (same as on Linux). However, themes aren't directly portable between the Windows and Linux applications — import from Windows to Linux simply doesn't work (nothing happens in GUI), but it works somewhat in the other direction, though the background is just a screenshot (even if the original source was a video) and is of fairly poor quality.
• Btw, the udev-rules warning in the report appears to be a false positive. Both /etc/udev/rules.d/99-trcc-lcd.rules and /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/99-trcc-lcd.rules are present, the 87ad:70db device node has mode 0666, and TRCC works without root. In 9.9.5 the health check looks for the older filenames 99-trcc.rules/90-trcc.rules, so it doesn't recognize the current 99-trcc-lcd.rules filename.

Also, huge thanks for making this project and your work — exactly 6 months ago, I switched to CachyOS, and I was worried that my CPU's LCD screen wouldn't be supported, but this repo was a godsend! ^^

Hi @Ziusz — you found a real bug, and it's now fixed.

Why your cooler had the wrong name. TRCC stores one product name per USB id, and 87AD:70DB covers dozens of different Thermalright coolers — GrandVision, Mjolnir Vision, Hyper Vision, yours, and many more. So whichever one you plugged in, it introduced itself as "GrandVision 360 AIO". Not a lookup failure; the name simply wasn't a thing that could vary.

Your handshake PM=4 SUB=5 → 480×480 (JPEG) already identifies your panel correctly — that's how the right theme sizes and rendering were being chosen, which is why everything else worked. Only the name was inherited from the wrong place.

Coolers now introduce themselves by the fingerprint the handshake resolves, and PM=4/SUB=5 is registered as the Peerless Vision 360 on your word.

One deliberate limitation, so it doesn't surprise you later. I've only given names to fingerprints someone has confirmed while holding the cooler — yours and the Hyper Vision 360 from #274. I could have derived names automatically from our internal asset ids, but I checked all 65 of them first and it would have been worse: your fingerprint's id is A1LM19SE, so you'd have gone from a wrong name to an unrecognisable code. A wrong-but-tidy answer isn't better than an honest one.

Also done: the Peerless Vision 360 is now in the Confirmed Working table, credited to you, and the USB-id reference no longer implies that id means one cooler.

This fix isn't in a release yet — I'll comment here when it's out.
