Good idea. Right now MUE-X is built specifically as a Claude Code skill — it reads CLAUDE.md, uses the /mue slash command, and relies on Claude's skill system to inject its brain before each cycle.

But supporting AGENTS.md (used by OpenCode, Pi, Cursor, etc.) is totally feasible. The change would be small:

1. At startup, MUE-X checks for CLAUDE.md — it could also check for AGENTS.md and GEMINI.md
2. The instruction injection logic is the same regardless of which file it reads
3. The only Claude-specific part is the skill format (YAML frontmatter + markdown) — for other agents it could just serve the raw markdown content

Basically: detect which agent is running → read the right instruction file → inject the same mutation engine. The core (gene system, AST transformers, validation, rollback) doesn't change.

If someone wants to PR this, the entry point is the instruction file loader. Happy to review.
