Support Action 4 - how can I help?

This project is far out. I'd love to see the Action 4 supported. I have one and can do traffic captures or testing. I also have an Osmo Pocket 3 if that helps.

Hi!

Thanks for wanting to help, the app currently doesn't have proper Osmo Action 4 support.

Lets see how far the app can go with an OA4:

• Download latest APK: https://github.com/KonradIT/osmosis/releases/tag/v1.4.2
• Turn Save Logs on
• Turn on your Osmo Action 4
• Scan, whenever you see it, tap it
• There should be a step to connect to it's wifi, it's an Android system dialog, but I believe we don't ever reach this on the OA4
• For every step, wait 30 secs at least before proceeding to the next one

If you do get a wifi dialog, tap on the camera network, and a grid should load.

After you've finished, tap on Save Logs again, which should turn off the logging and prompt you to share the logs with me. Share them over here, using google drive/mega/whatever.

I think your app works really well with the Action 4 already. I can see my videos. I haven't tested extensively yet, which I can do later in the day (GMT -4).

Hi!

I'm glad it worked, I see a few things in the log worth probing:

• How many files do you have in the SD card? Does scrolling to the second page work?
• Do the thumbnails work well?
• Can you download a video as well? Seems download path works fine
• Can you try to delete a file (create a throwaway video/photo), and also favorite one?
• Do the favorites from the camera show up as hearts in the app?
• Do you see the correct details in the pill?

Hi @ndemarco , Thanks for providing the logs. We can finish adding osmo action 4 support by doing the steps mentioned in the previous comment, that will cover all the features offered by the app. The logs have helped me harden support for the OA4, including supporting cameras with 1 SD card and no internal storage.
