dependant package SIAR deprecated

Hi, the dependency ‘siar’ is not available for package ‘subniche’. Hence the entire package can't be installed. Are you planning on updating your Code?

I stumbled upon the same issue. You can install the 'subniche' package by installing the latest version of the 'siar' package directly from the source tarball. You probably need to also install some dependencies for 'siar'.
Then install 'subniche' from github using devtools.
Haven't tested the functionality of the package yet.

Hi, that's exactly how we ended up doing it. For anyone who wants to re-cook it:

install.packages("devtools")
devtools::install_github("KarasiewiczStephane/WitOMI")
install.packages("~/Downloads/siar_4.2.tar.gz", repos = NULL, type = "source")  # as binary
# in between install all dependencies that might be shown as missing
devtools::install_github("KarasiewiczStephane/WitOMI") # now install "subniche"

It works nicely, but eventually it would be great if the package could be adapted to maintained dependencies.
