Another question is why training the model under 512 resolution? Any advantages compared to training under 1024 resolution?

Hi, training directly at 512 resolution is more efficient in terms of computational cost and convergence speed. If your final goal is 1024 or higher, it's recommended to first train at 512, then employ a multi-scale fine-tuning strategy.
