Question regarding the num of modes

Firstly, thanks for sharing your valuable work. However, I would like to know the automation capability of this method. I saw you assigned a number of modes in advance. I see this as an important limiting factor. Is there any way to use this method without knowledge of the number of modes???

Thank you for your interest in our work and for raising this valuable question. This study represents our initial attempt at applying deep learning to population-based modal identification. At this stage, our method is not designed to automatically determine the number of modes to identify; instead, it requires the number of modes to be fixed in advance. We acknowledge this limitation and plan to address it in future research to make the approach more adaptive and automated.
