Question : Are you planning to support newer Mac OS 9 (or X) version ?

(Didn't find a better to contact since I am not a forum member at E-Maculation)
PearPC was known to support up to 10.3. Are the bits you are porting over going to enable this sort of things in Sheep Saver ?
PS : While I don't have a lot of time to code, I wouldn't mind giving a hand with beta testing stuffs, especially if it starts supporting MacOS 9.2.1 (for which I have a legal CD somewhere).

E-Maculation is free to register. I'm definitely PLANNING to support more, but whether or not I'll be able to get to it depends on how mutch time I'll be willing to devote to it, as well as whether or not other people are interested in contributing. If you can attract others, I can inform them of what code I want. Also, I'm currently targeting Mac OS X as the host system because it's too mutch for mee to target all o' the platforms it currently supports, & adding some patches will be easier for OS X hosts(obviously, when I say Mac OS X, I also mean macOS or whatever apple wants to call its newer versions).

I'm not really planning to support Mac OS X, though it may be possible, but I may try to start another project for running older binaries on newer versions of OS X like 32 bit x86 applications on 64 bit x86 or maybe a POWERPC usermode emulator, but I'm not sure right now. Something like that would probably be faster than emulating the whole OS, & easier to accelerate with native libraries.

It's really up in the air @ this point because SheepShaver hasn't gotten a lot of development recently, & neither have any of the "Rosetta Replacements,"(usermode emulators) so I might be on my own & have trouble developing enough what with having other things I must needs do, & stay healthy by not developing all the time.

On the other hand, if you know any other forks that are working towards this goal, I'd be more than happy to include their code and/or work with their maintainers(if they're still maintaining and/or interested in SheepShaver or their fork).
