The calculator is really great so far, but it would be cool if you could plan an entire factory with it — not just calculate a single item, but select multiple items that you want as outputs.
Additionally, you should be able to choose a recipe for each individual step. For example, if I switch Coke production from Athanor to Crucible, it should only change there, not everywhere Coke is produced.

the entire factory suggestion is exactly where I am aiming for eventually. But there are complexities with that. I want to get the base calculator to a place where you can encapsulate and modularize a production chain and then connect said module to others to lay out a full factory. But that's a lot of work and I need the base bit to work first :-)

The recipe thing I have considered but I've yet to personally see a case where I would ever want to make the same product in 2 different ways in the same production chain. Do you have an example where this is beneficial to do so? I can only assume it's in cases where you want to use up some byproduct maybe?

For example, coke. To save space, I would make it from coal, for instance, but of course it’s much more expensive than producing it using Athanors, which I might use for fuel production.
I’m only level 7 as well, who knows what use cases might come later.

A field where you can set the number of devices for your desired product would also be great (I know you said on Steam that you don’t know why using the slider would be so cumbersome), but depending on upgrades there are also output cases of x.41–x.49 per device (which the slider doesn’t cover). To avoid having to calculate and enter that manually, such a field would be nice <3
