Is it possible to use tools with the models I am using?

Each chat has "No tool" greyed out, and asking for things like web searches does not work. Is that because I am using non-local models (Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, Deepseek)?

Hi, each model is supposed to report their capabilities including if they are compatible with tools.

Even so there might be a problem with non-ollama instances reporting the capabilities wrong, I'll look into it

There definitely is something, at least with OpenAI compatible instances via Open WebUI. No models seem to report tool capability, or properly report vision capability.
