SSCS Chipathon 2025 Participation Guidelines

Overview

This document outlines the basic guidelines and requirements for participating in the SSCS Chipathon 2025 event. Please read these guidelines carefully before beginning your project.

Eligibility

  • Open to students, professionals, and researchers in the field of integrated circuits and systems
  • Participants can join individually or in teams of up to 4 members
  • At least one team member must be an IEEE SSCS member

Project Requirements

Technical Requirements

  • Designs must be implemented using the provided open-source tools
  • All submissions must include complete documentation and source files

Documentation Requirements

  • Design documentation
  • Implementation details
  • LLM integration approach (if applicable)
  • Test results and validation data
  • Team information and contributions

Submission Process

  1. Initial Registration

    • Complete team registration form
    • Submit preliminary project proposal
  2. Development Phase

    • Regular progress updates
    • Participation in workshops
    • Interim design review
  3. Final Submission

    • Complete design files
    • Documentation
    • Presentation slides
    • Demo video (optional but highly recommended)

Evaluation Criteria

Projects will be evaluated based on:

  1. Innovation and Creativity (30%)
  2. Technical Implementation (40%)
  3. Documentation Quality (15%)
  4. Presentation (15%)

Resources and Support

  • Access to workshop materials
  • Technical support through repository issues
  • Office hours with mentors (schedule TBA)

All participants are expected to:

  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Maintain professional conduct
  • Collaborate constructively
  • Follow ethical guidelines in AI/LLM usage
