Normal mode doesn't disable roleplay

Bots keep speaking in full roleplay style even after setting LLMChatter.ChatterMode = normal in mod_llm_chatter.conf and restarting the bridge + worldserver.
Tried both normal and casual — same result.
Using phi4:14b-q4_K_M via Ollama.

I just started using this mod and noticed the same thing. LLMChatter.ChatterMode = normal does change the LLM prompt a little, viewable in /logs/llm_requests.jsonl, but to the average person the output is still very roleplay-esque. So it may be working as the author intended. However, I also wanted more humor, ooc, slang, meme, RL references, and even allow a small amount of toxicity. So I ended up changing PERSONALITY_SPICES, MESSAGE_CATEGORIES, TONES, MOODS, and CREATIVE_TWISTS along with build_dynamic_guidelines() in chatter_prompts.py and now it's a nice balance of roleplay and ooc like an blizzlike experience.

I experience the same. After the last update when i log in i get a message from 'guildmembers'. Hi there welcome back... ready for some adventure? ... that is not something guildies would say in normal mode. i get the same responses when i join up with class bots in the party. It is still very roleplay like. I expect more along the line.. hey Sir-Splinter, good evening! any special planned tonight? ...or Grats on lvl 30! or even Ding! when they lvl up :) @Trajor can you tell me what steps you did so i can do the same here? (as a linux noob here :)

@Trajor , thnx... i'll try the new files/config out tomorrow. But tbh, i'd like that this would be future addition/feature to hokken's version. maybe even 3 configurable flavours... roleplay, normal, gamers (or something allong the line :))

I've tried both Trajor's and Hokken's version of "normal", and I prefer Hokken's. I'm just not big on the endless l33tspeak and internet abbreviations - it looks mostly like sophomoric gibberish to my poor old shakes-fist-at-clouds brain. I can see the appeal of Trajor's changes to a certain kind of player though, so if they were to get merged into Hokken's repo, it should be as a new mode ("hardcore"?).

@RuralRob i agree, after testing this version of trajor its a bit too much. Although i appreciate the attempt. But indeed the abreviations and current gen talk like “lowkey” is not my kind of thing. We’re looking more for playertalk from the early wow days. A bit as it was on earthen ring rp server. A bit roleplay, with (mostly in guildchat) ooc talk and fun supportive comments. As it is now… i do prefer hokkens version of normal better. But i won’t mind trying other future flavours (gen-x or current gen) ;)
