Std.is(x, BufferArrayView) can be compiled, but it occurs the runtime error.

This is tricky, because for the compiler Std.is is just a simple function. It would much easier if we had a proper is/instanceof expression, because then we could teach it to reject types marked with some @:notRuntime metadata. Technically we still can process Std.is in the compiler and do the checks for known TTypeExprs, but it's not nice...

It would be nice if Std.is(x, ArrayBufferView) produced a compiler error and nadako's @:notRuntime check sounds like a good way to do it

On why is shouldn't work: the TypedArrays don't inherit from ArrayBufferView in the strict sense; an ABV type isn't exposed in JavaScript and is defined as just {any of the typedarrays} in the original spec and all mention of ABV as been removed from the superseding ES6 spec
