I am really interested in your project but I just created the server but still have problems about using POST GET functions. If it is possible, can you give example or how can use functions. Thank you.

Here's how I got a working example running:

1. Run the following commands:

npm install headless-chatgpt.
npm install
node node_modules/puppeteer/install.js

2. Then copy the "server.js" and "browser.js" files from this repo into your local install directory.

(I'm creating a web app to interact with the server so I had to also install cors)

3. Run: npm install cors

4. update the server.js to use cors:

5. I had to update the xPathSelector in the browser.js file for the "regenerate button" - my line looks like this:

6. Build an index.html file with the following "fetch" script content:

7. run the index.html file from any server making sure that the fetch url matches the headless chat server.

When you load the index.html file in the browser it should show the response text in the javascript console debugger.

@SourceWired, thanks again for the contribution. The regularly changing interface necessitates regularly changing XPaths (and sometimes behavior), so I appreciate the thorough and recent walkthrough.

For future readers, the _regenButtonXPathSelector is important because it is used to check if the generation is complete. (I currently use //div[contains(@class, 'text-gray-400 flex')]/span[3]/button as its XPath.)

In addition, the local_testing branch is the most up-to-date one, and is at parity with what I use myself. That means it should fit ChatGPT's more recent updates if the main branch is flagging - though there may also be incomplete and untested parts too.
