Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

HawkBucks Bot is an independent open-source project. We want participation in the project to be respectful, constructive, and welcoming.

We expect contributors, maintainers, issue reporters, and reviewers to communicate in a professional manner regardless of experience level, background, or role.

Expected Behavior

Examples of positive behavior include:

  • Being respectful and considerate.
  • Providing constructive technical feedback.
  • Explaining disagreements with evidence and clear reasoning.
  • Accepting corrections and learning from mistakes.
  • Keeping discussions focused on the project.
  • Respecting the privacy and security of other contributors.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behavior is not acceptable:

  • Harassment, intimidation, threats, or personal attacks.
  • Discriminatory or hateful language.
  • Deliberate disclosure of private or sensitive information.
  • Trolling or intentionally disruptive behavior.
  • Publishing credentials, tokens, or other secrets.
  • Any other conduct that would reasonably make participation unsafe or hostile.

Enforcement

Project maintainers may remove, edit, close, or restrict participation in project discussions when behavior violates this Code of Conduct.

Serious or repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent removal from project participation.

Reporting

For conduct concerns, please contact the project maintainer through the contact method listed in the repository rather than escalating the issue publicly.

For security vulnerabilities or exposed credentials, follow SECURITY.md instead of opening a public issue.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to project repositories, issue discussions, pull requests, and other spaces where participants are representing or substantially interacting with the HawkBucks project.
