PLOOC vs COM?

PLOOC is very similar to the Component Object Model to me.

Component Object Model (COM) is a binary-interface standard for software components introduced by Microsoft in 1993.

PLOOC is a way of extension for C language made of macros. It is different...I believe.
PLOOC is low-overhead with no runtime library which is different from the COM.
