Currently openspec is using markdown files to keep track of tasks, this is ok but not very reliable.
Sometimes models do not check the boxes, sometimes models do not create checkable boxes at all and just have a list ready.
There is a newer approach to keep track of tasks to do, have dependencies between tasks and have models be more reliable in agentic task management. A way to have memory between sessions. It is a project called beads ... an issue tracking based task management.
It would be awesome to have this system to be used as an additional alternative for the task tracking feature in openspec.
Maybe there is even more interesting ways to fuse these concepts together.
