Part 1

  1. Krypton-Core plugs into thunderbolt port in the back
  2. Clone USB, plugs into any port
  3. Power on
  4. Hold down F2 for setup
    • Confirm 256 GB SSD
    • Confirm system memory is 32GB
  5. Navigate to Advanced Tab
  6. Go down to SATA Operation
    • Set it to AHCI
    • Select Yes
  7. Navigate to Boot Tab
    • Select Boot List Option
      • Choose UEFI
      • Choose Yes
    • Choose Secure Boot
      • Select Enabled
      • Choose Yes
  8. Navigate to Security Tab
    • Select Firmware TPM
      • Choose Enabled
  9. Navigate to Exit Tab
    • Save Changes and Reset
    • Choose Yes

Part 2

  1. Hold F12 when computer turns back on
  2. Select UEFI OS(USB2.0 FlashDisk 1100)
  3. Select Clonezilla live (VGA with large font & To RAM)
  4. Choose English
  5. Choose “Keep…”
  6. Start Clonezilla
  7. Choose “device-device…”
  8. Choose beginner
  9. Choose “disk_to_local_disk…”
  10. ***NOTE: Disk number should be 3
  11. 🔴THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP🔴Under “Choose local disk as SOURCE”
    • Choose “…240G_M.2P310…”
  12. Under “Choose local disk as target…”
    • Select “nvme0n1 256GB….P300”
  13. Choose first option (“-sfsck Skip…”)
  14. Select -k1
  15. Choose “choose”
  16. When you see “WARNING WARNING WARNING”
    • CONFIRM SOURCE IS “256GB_Patriot…P300”
    • Type y and hit enter
  17. When you see “WARNING WARNING WARNING”
    • CONFIRM SOURCE IS “256GB_Patriot…P300”
    • Type y and hit enter
  18. Once it completes, hit enter
  19. Select poweroff
  20. Wait for all lights to turn off before proceeding
  21. Unplug Clone USB
  22. Unplug Krypton-Core
  23. Turn laptop back on
  24. Select okay (should automatically sign in as student)
  25. Open up File Explorer
  26. Choose This PC
  27. Confirm harddrive is there and and has about 140 GB free
  28. Open settings app
  29. In Home rename Krypton-Core to Krypton- ie Krypton-1
  30. Apply label maker labels to laptop chassis
    1. Front top right (readable when open)
    2. Left side toward front
    3. Right side toward front
  31. On bottom of laptop cover property sticker with SN banner sticker (make it readable with other text on back)
