Not listing all channels

What happened

I created a group and Plainfield joined it. I'm trying to add channels to sync but it's not listing all our channels. I've tried restarting slack and clicking the refresh button. Nothing I do is helping me find the channels I want

@sprocktech-dev for awareness... Seems like there may be a limit on how many channels can be read in, may be a pagination thing or something

@evanpetzoldt Yeah, I think you're right. I did some rounds of performance optimization with AI. Pagination was added for some calls and queries, so that's probably what's up.

@sprocktech-dev yeah I figured it out, we're building the channel selector ourselves vs using the built-in one. It looks like we did this so that we could filter out already-used channels. This makes sense, but the problem is when you run into regions that have more than 75-100 channels, your code smartly stops because static selectors can only handle that many options. A solution would be to use the built-in channel selector, but then we'd need some handling logic to handle the case where they select a channel that is already in use.

I wished this was a more rare occurrence, but there probably will be a good number of regions in this boat.

Actually, this would probably be better solved by a region who has that many channels to test with.

Happy to invite you to my region if you want. Wish i could filter the channel name it wanted to search for first. I even tried renaming a channel to start with a 1 to get it highest on the list but that didn't work. I'm guessing the default list is by date created or something

Did anyone find a workaournd for this?

Found a workaround for this issue in case anyone else runs into it. My new channel never appeared in the list, even after multiple refreshes and uninstalling/reinstalling the app. I ended up reviewing the existing channels that displayed in the dropdown and repurposed one that was no longer being used. In my case, "PAXminer_Logs." After renaming the channel, it immediately showed up in the dropdown. The sync only works day-forward, so I went back afterward and deleted the old posts.
