Seeking and playback speed controls

Just saw a comment on /r/twitch about speeding up the playback.

No idea if it's feasible, just throwing ideas out there. If not now, perhaps it will be possible when they complete the transition and remove the flash player?

Actually there's a bunch of controls YouTube has that would be very useful for VODs :

• seek back (J / Cursor Left in YouTube, for 10 or 5 seconds respectively)
• seek forward (L / Cursor Right in YouTube, 10 or 5 seconds)
• slow down / speed up (I think Shift M , Shift comma on Qwerty, Shift , ; in Azerty)

Playback speed is definitely something I've been wanting on Twitch for as far back as Youtube had added it. It's actually the main reason why I'm excited for HTML5. But AFAIK, that won't be possible until we get the HTML5 backend, the controls have no access to playback speed. The pause/play buttons just call a method on the flash backend.

Seeking would be possible, but I have to test and see how friendly to buffering it is. It's not really worth seeking forward 5-10s if it's gonna rebuffer and take 5s to load. As for implementation, yours is already pretty complete, it'd be a few more lines to add those other features.

Although, I still have an issue with calling methods on the flashBackend in Firefox, might need to use unsafeWindow or inject some code in the page.
