#850 constrained - sphinx >=5.2.0,<9.0.0. It may be necessary to either drop sphinx-multiversion in the future or else use some other versioning tool.
If our users are generally using the most-up-to-date version of our packages, it may not be necessary to keep versioning support for older version documentation. We could also just have links to older copies of the documentation available.
