Change Value manually if counter drops or added a value

I am using the adapter for a while now and have to admit: GRAT JOB!!!! So thank you Dutchman

Some of us are using the adapter to measure gasmeters or old Ferraris counter. From time to time the measurement is not exact and once found out, to "simply" reset to the accurate value is impossible without harming already stored values. It would be great if you could implement an value change without compromizing the previous values into negativ values.
Like having a value that can be changed. Here is a blond idea:
Display: Current value
Add "Input Field" "New current value" and take it from there and change previous values accordingly or ---- even better but ceertainly way more sophisticated: If a change of the current value is required, add an option: Change applied "today" "yesterday", last week and so on and than accordingly change the dependant values backward.

Great idea, I have the same issue with a counter and meter mismatch. (using a reed sensor with tasmota).
Have the opportunity to rematch meter and object in iobroker would be great.

I would suggest two simple ways of accounting the delta between the values.
a) substract from initial value
b) assign to a the last period (day, week or month)

I would be a nice to have feature if all deltas can be accumulated to in another object. Then it would be possible to measure the amount of misreadings in total.

I had to correct the prices for gas but the adapter uses the old prices and doesn't calculate again. 🤷🏻‍♂️
