Autocomplete Not Working on Mobile with --listen

I'm having trouble with the autocompleter for Stable, and I'm hoping someone can help me figure it out.

It was working fine before, but now, when I try to type something, the autocomplete dropdown disappears after the first letter. For example, if I type "s", I see some suggestions, but as soon as I keep typing (like "sm"), the dropdown disappears completely.

This only happens when I'm using --listen to connect on my phone. On desktop, autocomplete works just fine.

Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on what might be causing it or how to fix it?

I couldn't reproduce this on my phone (Chrome on Android), the dialog stays open normally. There was also no recent update from my side that could break anything, the only added thing in the last few weeks was a new optional chant / character tag preset file (which is not selected by default). If it really only broke recently, I wouldn't know why.

So I suspect it's more likely caused by

• another extension updating and causing some incompatibility
• or a change on your phone's side (browser, keyboard, OS, etc.).

But I don't really know what to tell you to look out for.

There is one thing you could try in case the popup doesn't really disappear but is somehow getting pushed off-screen:
In the Tag Autocomplete Settings, towards the top, there is the option "Move completion popup together with text cursor". You could try disabling that and see if it changes anything. That's the only thing that comes to mind which could cause buggy behavior on smaller screens. But that is also not a recent change, it's been the default for ages. So just a suggestion in case it helps to narrow down the issue.

I had an issue like this on my end as well, turning off Android's Auto Replace or Predictive Text (whatever it's called that tries to spell check for you) fixed it.
