This one actually surprises me because my personal machine is Arch with Hyprland (which is also Wayland), and I'm also a Bitwig user, so this is like the setup that's the most tested.

Might be I forgot to list a dependency in the package or something. Did you install from the AUR or the precompiled .pkg.tar.zst from the GitHub release page? Also, does the same thing happen with the VST3?

I'm very busy atm, but I might just try to install Niri next weekend and see if I can reproduce it.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, if you used the precompiled package from the GitHub release page or the dimethoxy-disflux-bin package from the AUR, you could instead try installing the dimethoxy-disflux-git package from the AUR, which will compile the plugin from scratch on your machine, that might fix the issue.

It does work on my pc for some reason. My laptop had also other issues with JUCE plugins so it might just be an issue there

Can you maybe tell me which way you used to install? This project provides:

• The dimethoxy-disflux-bin AUR package
• The dimethoxy-disflux-git AUR package
• The .deb release on GitHub (labled linux-ubuntu)
• The .tar.gz release on Github (labled linux-vanilla), which is a zipped version of the clap & vst3 files
• The .tar.zst package on GitHuyb (labled linux-arch)

Generally I wouldn't recommend the GitHub release on Arch. It's better to use the AUR one, like it says on the release page, because the one from GitHub can't be updated by Arch.

That being said, I don't think that's the issue because I just tried that exact version in a Virtual Machine with a freshly installed CachyOS + Niri and it worked out of the box. The only thing I did on that machine is to install Bitwig kinda like this:

sudo pacman -Syu
sudo pacman -S yay
yay -S bitwig-studio

And then add the Disflux.clap file into the ~/.clap folder.

Does Bitwig show you some sort of error message under:
File -> Show Dashboard -> Settings -> Plugins -> Show Plugin Errors

Dimethoxy is basically a hobby project of mine that I work on for fun, with a few friends helping out with things like testing, bug hunting, ideas, and planning, while I write most of the code. The name "Dimethoxy" is really just a pseudo-brand that I came up with so the plugins we build have a somewhat recognizable and cohesive identity.

I should have thought of this sooner, but considering you mentioned other JUCE plugins misbehaving for you as well, it might be worth trying to disable the OpenGL renderer.

In Disflux, this can be done by editing the config file at .config/Dimethoxy/Disflux/Disflux.config as follows:

Find this value:

<VALUE name="General.UseOpenGL" val="1"/>

Set val to 0 like this:

<VALUE name="General.UseOpenGL" val="0"/>

I would assume other JUCE plugins also allow you to somehow turn it off, so if this works, maybe hit up the docs for other plugins you have issues with if they somehow let you disable the OpenGL renderer.
