Hey, first off – thanks for Dictate, I use it a ton!
There's one recurring use case where the current behavior gets a bit awkward. Often I'm writing a reply to an email thread, and I select the whole thread so it gets picked up as context for the dictation. The problem is that when the formulated reply comes back, it replaces the entire selection – so my whole email thread gets wiped out along with the prompt.
My current workaround is to copy the output, hit undo, and paste it back in – or undo, scroll back into the thread, and insert manually. Both work, but neither is exactly elegant.
Would it be possible to add a button (or an option) that inserts the dictation without overwriting the selected text? Something like: move the cursor to the very beginning of the selection and insert the result there, maybe followed by a couple of blank lines to separate it from the original. That way I can still pass the selection along as context, but keep it intact.
