Any plans to allow asset injection?

I'd like to replace a g1t file (texture swap) in one of my fdata files but it doesn't look like there's anything out there to do that right now.

There is a way; they did it for the game Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land.
Take a look— in theory, it should work for any game with fdata + root.rdb

yumia has readable files thanks to the demo, the other games have no luck in that to get file names for modding

I understand, but to create a mod you don't need the legigel name, only the offset that comes with it. However, I understand that it becomes more complicated to find what you need to make a mod—in the end, you have to extract everything. 😮‍💨

Yeah, I've been able to extract and view everything, find the asset (texture) I want to change in the g1t, update the g1t with that texture successfully. My problem is that I cannot reinsert that g1t back into the fpack. Even understanding the fpack format, if I want to try to manually do this before programmatically doing this, I can modify directly the fpack file to update the g1t size but I cannot recompress the g1t back to a "deflate" compressed representation of the g1t file. I know programmatically we could use zlib to do it but I was trying to just brute force it for the moment to make sure it's working. I just don't know how to create that zlib deflated data outside of writing a whole program that I don't have the time to do right now.

unless im doing something wrong it does not appear that it works for Three Hopes, the .rbd file is structured somewhat differently, not that I expect you to know how to fix this I just needed to vent somewhere more than anything cause ive been essentially throwing my head against a brick wall for about 2 days now

Not just fdata and rdb, even older container formats support it. My Aldnoah Engine does it for a lot of games.

Koei Tecmo games typically use chunked zlib. it's standard zlib with some metadata before each blob and used in chunked compression.

any way that game file names could be obtained just like how the RE engine gets the files by a paklist or the game's exe file?
