Full support for Linux (not just Ubuntu)

I am very curious about RapidRaw, but not enough to start an adventure in my Gentoo Linux.
RapidRaw come with deb files only. Dependencies are not listed, there are no instructions, there aren't discussions about installations on different Linux flavours.
I switched from IT to photography. It means that I am busy now, I have other things to do.
I know that I am polemic, but I think that a "download and compile source files" page could help the project.

I totally understand wanting to focus on photography rather than package management. I think you might have missed the full asset list in the releases or the bottom of the Readme, but I have good news - RapidRAW already supports what you are looking for:

1. Universal Linux Support (AppImage): We don't just provide .deb files. If you look at the latest release assets, you will see .AppImage files. Since you are on Gentoo and want to avoid "adventures," this is your best bet. Just download it, chmod +x, and run it. No dependencies or compilation required.
2. Flatpak: We are also available on Flathub, which works on virtually every distro including Gentoo.
3. Building from Source: If you do decide to compile, there are actually instructions in the Getting Started -> Build from Source section of the README. It lists the dependencies (Rust and Node.js) and the build commands.

Give the AppImage a try; it should get you up and running immediately!

This is exactly what I DON'T want.
In my Gentoo system, with KDE/Plasma, so Qt, I should probably install the package net-libs/webkit-gtk.
BUT, the available version is marked as 6.0, while I read something about a 4.1 version.
I can do it, but both versions pull a long list of ruby dependencies.
Since I am not into this development details and since my desktop is a clean productivity system, I will NOT start attempts that I don't understand clearly.

So, again, better instructions should be provided.
I understand you close the bug as a bug, but I am a photographer using Linux and I think that the maturation process of a project should include a better documentation for Linux, not for Ubuntu.

These were the packages I had to install on Fedora and Arch in order to build from source, keep in mind Arch was not a clean install so might be missing something:

FEDORA

sudo dnf group install development-tools
sudo dnf install gcc gcc-c++ glib2-devel gtk3-devel libsoup3-devel webkit2gtk4.1-devel

ARCH

sudo pacman -S base-devel webkit2gtk-4.1

This might be worth adding to the readme @CyberTimon ?
