Enhanced Color Space Exporting Options

Hi Timon, thanks a lot for your diligent efforts on improving this application for all of us!

I just noticed that it's exporting PNG files as sRGB. Would it be dfficult to allow other options like HLG or BT.2020? My Nikon Z8 can capture HLG in RAW, so that would be my preference.

Other slightly less important requests:

• Thanks for improving the de-noising feature recently! That said, I did also severely struggle to find where it was moved to. I did like the details section, and I would like to be able to keep the edits I made in the RAW section when I create a new de-noised file, if possible.
• If you could help improve the dynamic range of photos like Lightroom may, that would be very welccome.
• The auto adjust feature seems like it could use some improving. It seems to over-contrast images severely. I would aim for life-like results.
• I would like the Copy and Paste Adjustments to work even on images that have already been modified. There seems to be a bug where previously modified or pasted files don't accept new adjustments. I can create a new bug ticket, if you wish.

Other than that, keep up the great work!

I'd like to chime in on this discussion. I would love to see additional color space/format export support. In my case, my workflow relies heavily on editing in HDR mode on an HDR calibrated display in the Display P3 space. Exports are also in Display P3, since Instagram and websites are starting to support this well. My clients have expressed interest in keeping this as a way I export JPG/AVIF/otherHDRFormats to deliver to them.

I am absolutely happy to get test files, screenshots, screen-recording of workflows, etc for this. I have Sony and Olympus cameras, can provide RAW files, HDR color spaced files in Display P3, possibly other formats like REC.2020 or REC.2100. Plenty of encoding formats (JPG, PNG, AVIF, others). Should also be able to provide Sony's HLG HEIF files similar to Volteritas's Z8's output. Do feel more than free to contact me for this. 😄

If there are other ways I can help, let me know as well. This won't outright deter my full migration to RapidRAW in the near future vs split editing, but it is something I'd love to see better adoption of across the market.

Hello everybody,

adding my 2 cents to the wishlist :) I would also love to export color managed still images. That would mean adding export settings like color bit depth, compression, rendering intent and color space / embedded ICC profile. In my use case it is often TIFF or JPEG2000, uncompressed, 16 bits per channel (RGB), relative colorimetric intent, eciRGBv2 / AdobeRGB.

My go to open source color management engine is Little CMS 2.

Hi, I am also here to bump this post. I was wondering why my colors came out flatter than what I was looking at in the preview. For some reason, changing my display to sRGB doesn't change the preview colors. My work around as of now has just been exporting files, viewing them, and tweaking with until the sRGB export looks about right. For now, this does work for my workflow though.
