[Feature Request]: Allow Authentication Methods to Remain Unconfigured in CIPP Standards #408

  • **Me or my organization is currently an active sponsor of the product at the $99,- level.

Problem Statement

The Configure Authentication Methods standard currently disables any authentication method that is not explicitly enabled in the standard.

Please add an Unconfigured option for each authentication method. This would allow us to enable specific methods—such as Microsoft Authenticator and FIDO2 security keys—across multiple tenants without changing or disabling their existing authentication methods.

This would make it possible to safely deploy additional authentication options without overwriting tenant-specific configurations.

Benefits for MSPs

It would allow us to completely automate the deployment of authentication policies.
