Mod will not inject when I open Rocket League

As said in the title, when I run Rocket League and them open the mod, the mod doesn't recognize the game as "running"

I'm using the snap version of steam, and use the command - protontricks-launch --appid 252950 "/home/user/snap/steam/common/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/252950/pfx/drive_c/Program Files/BakkesMod/BakkesMod.exe" - to run the mod.

I'm not really familiar with Snap (I never even used Ubuntu) but my guess would be that the Snap sandboxing is preventing BakkesMod from finding the Rocket League process. Snaps overall aren't really used outside of Ubuntu as they aren't liked by the broader Linux community.

My suggestion would be to try installing Steam natively instead of using Snaps.

I'm getting the same thing on native steam with flakpak protontricks on Pop OS. I tried proton 7, 8, and 9 as well as disabling safe mode and increasing the connection timeout as suggested in bakkesmodorg/BakkesMod2-Plugins#2. Also tried allowing the protontricks flatpak to access all files in case that was somehow the problem.

Do you have any suggestions on how to debug this or alternative options to try?

Edit: Oh nvm apologies, missed your troubleshooting page. Using bakkes.sh resolved this for me.

The problem with Flatpak based protontricks I think isn't that it doesn't have access to all the files but rather the sandboxing that makes it so protontricks can't actually see the Rocket League process. And since bakkes.sh uses Wine directly (instead of going through protontricks) it will work here without a problem. I'm glad the script worked :)
