Hey everyone! π
This project β Digital Footprint Cleaner β started as a simple proof of concept: search for your name or email, find traces online, and auto-generate petitions to take back your privacy.
But this is just the foundation. I want to transform it into a serious, privacy-first tool that anyone can use, understand, and benefit from. Hereβs where your ideas and contributions can take this forward:
*π§ Proposed Future Versions / Features
Here are a few planned or dreamed-of upgrades that Iβd love to collaborate on:
*π Smarter & Safer Automation
Auto-detect sensitive data (name, email, phone, photos, addresses, etc.).
Dynamic search from multiple engines or websites.
Intelligent filtering: flag unsafe/false positives before generating petitions.
*π Petition Enhancements
Allow users to customize the tone, language, or format of petitions.
Auto-fill name/email in the template (optional toggle).
Export petitions as downloadable PDFs or email drafts.
*π Platform-Specific Workflows
Integrate known takedown protocols for sites like Google, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc.
Build an open registry of public takedown emails & URLs (crowdsourced).
*π£ Prune Data From the Internet (Legally)
Analyze metadata from search results to suggest removal actions.
Add data-retention policies of sites from their privacy pages.
Roadmap for fully legal, safe deletion workflows for personal traces.
*π¬ Submission / Tracking Dashboard
Let users mark which sites theyβve contacted already.
Store petition status (Pending, Sent, Confirmed).
Optionally save their history in local storage (privacy-first, not cloud-based).
