CSE content blocker issue

the content blocker causes this issue shown in pic above, for normal browsing. no matter what search engine i use. be it an external chosen one used through the app, or any of the default added search engines by apple. works just fine in private browsing though. no same issue or whatsoever. a fix to this would be really appreciated, asap.

i'm using an iphone Xs with ios 18.7.8. in case, these infos would be needed.

Please try the following first:

• Please check that Safari Settings are correctly configured in the CSE settings.
• Try resetting the Advanced Settings.
• Try disabling other extensions or content blockers.

If the issue persists, please provide the following information as much as possible to help me reproduce this issue:

• Is "Also Use in Private Browsing" enabled in Safari settings?
• Is Private Search Engine enabled in the CSE settings?
• Which custom search engine have you set in CSE?
• What are the language and region settings on your device?

I did all of the first 3 followings as you asked. Still, no luck.

• No, i set a different search engine for private browsing.
• Yes, it's enabled. in fact, I only run CSE for private browsing, to run a search engine that isn't available by default for Safari.
• Brave Search
• English(US), and region is set to Bangladesh.

CSE Content Blocker prevents search query leakage by blocking Safari's default search engine. Because of this, if a Default Search Engine is not set, you will not be able to perform searches in normal tabs.

If you set a Default Search Engine from the Search Engine Presets, you will be able to use Safari's default search engine as well. I believe this will resolve the issue.

Tried that before as well. Only seems to fluidly work with startpage search. Doesn't work much with the few others I chose to try with. I'll keep using CSE without the content blocker in it still, i suppose. It clearly isn't ready yet on my end, at the very least.
