Bit confused what you're trying to show here. The manager should add to mimeapps.list for the nxm handler to work. |

Hi @ChrisDKN Oh acutually it looks like xdg-desktop-portal is the one spitting this out, here's the entire message for hyprland, and it's the same for niri; Jun 30 22:48:26 gentoo xdg-desktop-por[974]: /home/foo/.config/hyprland-mimeapps.list contains a [Added Associations] group, but it is not permitted here. Only the non-desktop-specific mimeapps.list file may add or remove associations. THANKS |

When I start Amethyst the hyprland-mimeapps.list is being created. I'm not aware that the xdg portal creates this, not sure I understand too what config you are referring to, I don't have any configs for Amethyst, I don't have any for hyprland that would create this, I don't have any configs that would create this, so I'm at a loss over it's creation. I've never seen a hyprland-mimeapps.list before in Linux, mimeapps.list is the name used in Linux. So I assumed Amethyst creates this on startup, if it is creating this, can we please get it changed and have the entries added into the mimeapps.list.

Hi @ChrisDKN
I noticed in journalctl -b this output;
/.config/hyprland-mimeapps.list contains a [Added Associations] group, but it is not permitted here. Only the non-desktop-specific mimeapps.list file may add or remove associations
I also see the same thing in niri;
/.config/niri-mimeapps.list contains a [Added Associations] group, but it is not permitted here. Only the non-desktop-specific mimeapps.list file may add or remove associations.
THANKS
