Why does Chatterino not follow the Raid?

When user A raids into user B's channel, why doesn't Chatterino automatically switch to user B's channel instead of remaining in the current channel?

After twitch removed host mode, they no longer provide a scalable, official api for us to know where the raid went (without having broadcaster/moderator auth)

Sorry to bump an old discussion. Isn't this exactly what the EventSub channel.raid event provides?

To determine whether the raid actually took place, you must subscribe to the Channel Raid event.

According to the docs, subbing to the event with the from_broadcaster_user_id condition should do the trick and it requires no authorization. Perhaps I've missed something though.

In any case, thought it was worth mentioning because following raids would be really nice to have.

Unfortunately twitch imposes The max_total_cost is 10 across all subscriptions. on eventsub websocket, so that is not a scalable solution

Right. I think I misunderstood how the costs work. The examples made it seem like if a user has authorized the app then event subs like this will cost 0, but turns out that only applies if the event sub is targeting the user that is authorized. Ah well, sorry about that. Thanks for getting back to me.
