What I worked on last week

• started setting up sign in and sessions for the website. currently, google sign in is used in the front and back end, but there is no extra verification on our website. any google account can access the website and there is only a single view (Set up Google Sign In #41)

What I'm stuck on

• still waiting on others' work. at the time of writing, I am waiting on the User repository being created by another member

What I plan to do this week

• once the work i'm waiting on is done, I will do extra authentication in the back-end to check that the google email is associated with a system user, and determine which role that user has.
