The CRI has a component to check for hazard interactions, so combining drought and temperature might pose a loss of information. Are the other droughts indicators temperature-corrected? We need near-global coverage for Breeding for Tomorrow. The current layer is 1980-2000, sometimes Philip's notes differed from the Erickson 2011 reference, this is an omission on our side
