QtShadcn v0.0.16 - shadcn/ui-inspired theming for PySide/PyQt desktop apps

Hi everyone,

We just shipped QtShadcn v0.0.16 — a small but opinionated theming layer for Qt desktop apps that brings the shadcn/ui design-token approach to PySide6, PyQt6, PySide2, and PyQt5.

What it is

QtShadcn lets you style a whole Qt application from a single XML file:

<theme>
  <light>...</light>
  <dark>...</dark>
</theme>

It resolves the tokens, renders a QSS stylesheet via Jinja2, and applies it to your QApplication in one call.

Status

This is an alpha release. The core theming pipeline is solid, but widget coverage is still growing. If a widget you need is missing, open an issue and we'll prioritize it.
