 The PDF build uses `SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH`. In a clean Git checkout, the default timestamp is the most recent commit that changed an authored CV input (`cv/cv.tex`, the publication bibliography and sidecars, `_people`, or `cv/patents.bib`). A bot commit that changes only generated files therefore does not alter the CV date or binary output on the next run.
