Confirm the computer is on the home network and that the configured address is current. A router DHCP reservation is recommended.
HelioSlate stops before sending a credential. Confirm that the address still belongs to the PVS, then use the deliberate Trust New Certificate action.
Use Try automatic again first. If this firmware does not expose the gateway
identity automatically, run ipconfig, open the active adapter's Default
Gateway in a browser, and inspect the router's Connected Devices, Device List,
Network Map, Clients, DHCP Clients, or Attached Devices page. Find a name
containing pvs6, pvs5, pvs, SunPower, or SunStrong. For a hostname
like pvs6-ZT123456789012A4321, enter A4321: the final five characters,
including the letter.
The same serial may be listed in the SunPower/SunStrong app under system information, in commissioning paperwork, or on an externally visible gateway label. Do not open electrical compartments. Do not use a panel serial, Site ID, IP address, Wi-Fi password, or certificate fingerprint. HelioSlate verifies the five characters before storing them and never needs to persist the full serial.
The installation may not expose consumption CT data. HelioSlate will show solar without inventing home consumption or grid exchange.
Keep HelioSlate and Tailscale running on the host. In Household Access,
confirm that both private remote access and the household website are active.
The public helper uses HTTPS port 8443; the private dashboard uses Tailscale
Serve separately. If Tailscale asks for permission, enable Funnel for this
device, return to HelioSlate, and select Enable household website again.
Tailscale Funnel requires MagicDNS, HTTPS certificates, a Funnel-enabled policy, and a current Tailscale client. It does not require router port forwarding. If the host is offline, its invitation helper and private dashboard are offline.
