Extensively tested? #2

Hi FlexibleGames, thank you for your detailed feedback. AdjustSuite was not quickly thrown together and released without proper testing. The mod was developed with practical gameplay in mind and tested over several weeks in both singleplayer and multiplayer. In addition, AdjustSuite was tested together with many other mods to better evaluate compatibility and behavior in realistic mod setups. We are also already working on additional modules, placeable objects, and a GUI. The issue you described with the other mod does not occur with AdjustSuite. This exact scenario was tested multiple times: increased capacity, saving the game, exiting, and loading the save again. In our tests, the adjusted capacity remained intact. At the moment, AdjustSuite supports adjustments up to x8 / 800%. If higher values are desired in the future, feel free to submit it as a suggestion. We will be happy to look into it and extend the range if needed. In AdjustSuite, the save logic is handled by storing the selected AFV adjustment as a normal vehicle configuration through the Giants system. The most important file for this is AFV.lua. When a vehicle is loaded, it checks vehicle.configurations.AFV to determine which AFV level was saved for that vehicle. After that, applyOffset(...) calculates the correct factor and applyFillUnitCapacity(...) applies the adjusted capacity to the vehicle’s fill units. In addition, AFV.lua hooks into the original FillVolume.onLoad function using FillVolume.onLoad = Utils.prependedFunction(...). This allows the adjusted capacity to be applied very early during the loading process. This is important so that a saved fill level is not capped to the original default capacity. AFV:onPostLoad(...) then applies the capacity once again after the vehicle has finished loading, making sure the values are set correctly. The AFV configuration is registered in AdjustSuite_Register.lua. There, AFV is added as a shop and vehicle configuration. Because of this, the selected AFV level is saved by the Giants system in the savegame and is available again after restarting as vehicle.configurations.AFV. |

I have a similar mod for adjusting capacities when buying a vehicle and it's severely bugged out. It works while you are in the game but if a vehicle contains MORE than it's max normal capacity is, then when the game is reloaded all storage is capped at that max, not the adjusted max. To put into an example, say you buy a combine and it comes with a max of 20k liters, the mod allows you to jack that way up to 20x so 400,000 liters using a separate multiplier.
Now lets say your harvesting, combine has 365,000 liters in it, you save the game, exit, and reload. Combine now has 20,000 liters but storage for 400,000. It just voided 345,000 liters. This wasn't caught by the person who made it because they didn't actually test the mod.
This mod works much the same way for many, MANY other things and am wondering if this mod has been extensively tested? Test all the options, buy vehicles, save, reload, test again, max storage, try harvesting, all the things. Or was an AI used to spit out the code and Voila! Hope for the best! Been seeing a lot of these lately.
Code looks good, but I'm not a die-hard LUA coder. I was mainly looking for something to modify discharge speeds of both vehicles and buildings.
