Agreed. Extending MacOSProperties.IsTemplateIcon to NativeMenuItem would be the cleanest approach and would keep the API consistent with TrayIcon. Something like: would make this much easier and would let macOS handle the icon tinting correctly for light/dark appearance instead of trying to manually match the menu text color. I think a feature request for this would make sense. |

NativeMenu, and I'd like to have monochromatic icons on some of the menu items. The text color in theNativeMenudoesn't seem to match my AvaloniaThemeVariant, and I don't see a good way to get visibility into the text color.
