Clean up legacy artifacts and align module metadata

Problem

The repository contains legacy artifacts and inconsistencies (for example stale files and outdated metadata patterns) that increase maintenance risk and reduce confidence.

Proposal

Audit and remove dead/obsolete files, then align module/build metadata with current AtlassianPS conventions and explicit validation checks.

Acceptance criteria

• Legacy or orphaned files are identified and either removed or documented
• Module metadata (manifest, changelog coupling, release metadata) is validated by tests
• Build/tests fail on metadata regressions
• Cleanup changes are documented in changelog and contributor docs where relevant
