Background Color

Hi,
using the python api version 2.4.2 is it possible to change the background color?

I have different ColorScheme for each layer type and changing solid_color works just fine for each layer however background color never seems to do anything.

Hi, could you please provide code snippet showing what you are doing?
In theory background_color should work for raster images, there is no way to add non-transparent background to svg images. Regardless of PyGerber capabilities, you can always just render with transparent background and paste it onto same size single color image with Pillow.

Sorry for late reply, I missed notification about your response with code.
It is a bug. background_color use was never implemented properly, thanks for the heads up.
Please check fixed version from maintenance branch:

pip install git+https://github.com/Argmaster/pygerber.git@maintenance/2.4.x

This problem got resolved with release 2.4.3
