Hi everyone, I’m Sarah Ruediger, a junior group leader at University College London. My lab is interested in how brain circuits support the learning and performance of visually guided actions. We look forward to collaborating — both by helping to analyze shared datasets and by contributing data from the lab that can complement the work being done at the Allen Institute. Hi, I'm Kevin Max, Postdoc in comp neuro with Kenji Doya at OIST, Japan. I'm in the "backpropagation and the brain" camp, studying network models of cortex with the aim of including as much biological detail as needed, while maintaining an understanding how such networks learn to solve complex tasks. Because "backprop and the brain" is controversial, I want to test it against competing theories like dendritic Predictive Coding using experimental data. I think this community is interested in this as well, see e.g. a recent paper by H. Choi et al. We are also running 2p-CA behavioral experiments with mice here at OIST. Happy to contribute and share data as it gets available. I will not be able to attend weekly meetings due to the time shift, but please hit me up if you'd like to discuss. |

Hey everyone, My research focuses on the theoretical and computational aspects of dendritic computation, combining detailed biophysical neuron models with machine learning frameworks. I aim to characterize not only the input–output complexity of single neurons, but also their learning capabilities, the functional space they can realize, and how input encoding influences these capacities. I’m particularly interested in collaborating on the SLAP2 dataset to dissect the types of inputs dendrites receive across spatial locations, and to explore how this organization contributes to single-neuron computation. I look forward to exchanging ideas and building collaborations within this community. |

Hi everyone! Congratulations for the effort to create and maintain community-based project. I am a PhD student at University of Tübingen, Germany, currently working with ECoG and sEEG data from patients performing a simple predictive sequence task. I am particularly interested in sequence and sensory-motor mismatches. I am definitely on the computational side and would love to work with population dynamics and the interaction between single units and LFP. I am also happy to contribute with organizational tasks. :) |

Hi everyone, My name is Anoushka Chandra, I'm a rising high school senior from Seattle, currently in Hyderabad, India. I reached out to Dr. Lecoq about an independent computational project I've been developing, and he kindly invited me to join this community. My project models the network-level consequences of complement-mediated (C4A-driven) excitatory synaptic pruning on E/I balance in cortical microcircuits. Dr. Lecoq suggested I start by working with the V1 electrophysiology datasets, which is exactly what I'm doing now. Looking forward to contributing and learning from everyone here! |

Hi all, I run a human memory research lab in India (www.mandalab.org). I was part of the original position paper but withdrew as I didn't feel like I was able to contribute due to other commitments, but I think I have a bit more time now. So I'm just checking in to see if you can use any input from us. I'd be interested in seeing if some propagating wave analysis can be done since people have proposed a role for waves in predictive processing. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6776254/ We have developed a MATLAB toolbox that can help detect various types of propagating waves in neural recordings. Any suggestions for existing datasets we could look at to see if propagating waves have a clear role in predictive processing would be greatly appreciated. Also, we recently set up a high-density (128-channel) EEG system and would be able to contribute human EEG data if analogous experiments can be done in humans (and non-Western participants). |

Hi everyone! My name is Aarya Karmarkar, and I am a rising junior from Virginia, in the United States. I previously worked at a University of Richmond lab analyzing behavioral neuroplasticity in rats, including E/I balance in the limbic system. During my own research in BCIs, I came across more in computational neuroscience and this community-sourced project. Hello everyone, I am a 4th-year graduate student at the University of Georgia in Dr. Jesse Schank's lab, where we study the role of Substance P in stress-induced alcohol consumption. I have been focusing on a specific Substance P projections from the PVT to the NAc. I have been performing translating ribosome affinity purification on Tac1-Cre mice with PVT punches to get a transcriptional profile of these neurons and using RNAscope to verify in brain tissue. I am the most computational person in the lab and have been trying to find and introduce everyone to more computational aspects and resources of research. I have relied on the Allen Brain Atlas and connectivity resources for many sources for my hypothesis and am excited to explore more resources and contribute as much as possible. Hi everyone, my name is Caroline. I studied computer science at Columbia University and have several years of research experience in neuroscience, computer science, and cancer research, and I’m preparing to apply to PhD programs in applied mathematics, computer science, and computational/theoretical neuroscience. I am currently a computational research assistant at Columbia. I’d like to contribute to Project 6. I’m most interested in a well-scoped computational task involving predictive-coding or dynamical-systems models, recurrent networks, parameter fitting/cross-validation, model comparison, or reproducible analysis code. I don’t have prior experience with EEG or this project’s specialized recording methods, but I’m comfortable learning the data structure and working from the project documentation and existing code. Is there a currently unclaimed task with a concrete deliverable, expected time commitment, and timeline? I would also appreciate knowing which planned manuscript the task would support and how contributions are documented for authorship consideration under the collaboration policy. I’m happy to attend the Tuesday community meeting and discuss where my skills and effort could be most useful. Thank you! |

Hello Everyone, My name is Antonio, and I am a third-year PhD student in Fatuel Tecuepetla's lab at UNAM (Mexico City). I have done most of my work on LFP and spatially modulated oscillatory signatures of uncertainty. I also work with optogenetics, calcium imaging, and fiber photometry. I had the opportunity to work with the predictive processing dataset at NeuroDataReHack 2026, and I would like to keep contributing. I want to work with LFP-based error signals and how they propagate through the cortical hierarchy. I'm also open to working with other people. |
