If you are doing any agentic workflow, I recommend you have those instructions followed by agents before committing. That will reduce any downstream integration work. |

Hi all,
I just updated the contribution.md file here : https://github.com/AllenNeuralDynamics/openscope_p3_data_release_paper/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md
This should clarify when and how to contribute derived binary files used in interactive figures.
Note at this point, the p3 data release repo is about 266 MB which is perfectly fine. We are allowed to commit up to 100MB per commit and the repo can grow up to 10GB from the Github documentation.
I think we should probably aim for a final size of 1GB which would be large but manageable with current hard drive and network bandwidth. I am going to keep a close eyes on binary derived files but let's try for now to keep everything centralized.
Reminder that the data release paper is not intended to contain all analysis but is a primer for analysis so it is fine if our analysis are not comprehensive yet. Our goal is to educate and support the impact of later analysis. We also want to describe any pitfalls or important caveats to take into account in future analysis.
