Epic login / Unable to get Epic Account ID

Some Epic Games titles, for example Among Us, may require an Epic Account Portal authorization step on first launch.

If the in-game EOS login window does not complete correctly, the game may show an error like:

Unable to get Epic Account ID

Temporary workaround:

1. Launch the game from Epic Games Launcher.

2. Wait until the game shows the Epic Account ID / login error.

3. Close the game.

4. Open Terminal.

5. Run the command below:

   cp "$HOME/Your Name/WineForge/Your Bottle Name/drive_c/users/$USER/AppData/Local/Epic Games/EOSOverlay/BrowserCache/0/Default/History" /tmp/eos-history.sqlite
   
   sqlite3 /tmp/eos-history.sqlite \
   "select url from urls where url like 'https://www.epicgames.com/id/authorize?%' order by last_visit_time desc limit 1;"
