Questions regarding use

Hi!

If I understand correctly: if I buy an ELRS remote control (e.g., Radiomaster TX16S) and an ELRS-compatible receiver (e.g., ER6) with a CRSF port, and I connect an Arduino to this port, will I be able to read the PWM values of all channels with your library and send telemetry data to the remote control at the same time?

Can I emulate any sensor, or do you have a list of which ones I can use?

Yep! This library uses Arduino Serial to talk to an ELRS receiver via the CRSF protocol

For Telemetry, check out the battery example and the GPS/Baro/Vario/Attitude example. There are quite a lot of different telemetry types supported. Now you might ask, what if I want to send data that is not supported? Afaik ELRS does not yet support custom telemetry packet names, so for some projects, I "misuse" certain telemetry packet types. For example, I send the angular speed of my robot via the GPS packet.

Another question: can i use different Hardware Serial for read channel data, and another one to send telemetry?

I am using Mega 2560, that got 3 Hardware Serial port.
So can i use Serial1 RX to PIN_RX , and Serial2 TX to PIN_TX?

You should be able to use Ardunio Mega 2560, but it is not possible with this library to use pins from different hardware serial ports.

I see. Then I'll make sure it uses a hardware serial port.

However, I have a few questions about the application:

1. If I want to use the Serial1 hardware port, should I define it like this?

2. Can i use different baud rate, or i need to stick 420000?

3. If I use this code, does that mean that the data from 5 sensors will appear separately on the remote control each as a separate telemetry sensor?

So there will be a latitude, longtitude, speed, heading,altitude,satelites sensor?

1. I believe it should work that way.
2. CRSF is defined to use 420000 Baud, so you should not change it.
3. Yes the send GPS packet should work that way. See the example for more details.
