Implement Market Correlation Analysis

So currently, I am able to get the stock prices of all tickers within one stock index? If #6 isn't done yet how would I go about doing this?

Do you need it? Isn't stock and stock index OHLC sufficient? Something like:
correlation(stock.ohlc, index.ohlc)?

The way I was thinking of implementing it is creating a correlation matrix for all stocks in a given stock index, and extracting the vector for the stock that the user specifies from that matrix.

But I guess for making a function, #6 isn't required as the OHLC will just be a parameter.

Could it be done the way that the function calculates the correlation between two stocks or stocks from a list?
I'm afraid it will take longer than I expected to get a function that will scrap member tickers for given index.
