Much as I like Google Groups - and I do use it for a lot of things. It is not really helpful for developing products and/or code.

The tools that programmers use is, of course, GitHub - and GitHub Issues in particular.

The benefits include:

• Markdown support
• Pastring in images
• Tagging and assigning issues
• Closing issues
• And much more

And it's the much more that I want to learn about. So kindly forget - for the time being anyway - getting a response from me by any other means.

Greg as Middleware is old school

Greg has been the Abantech 'middleware' since the beginning of time. All messages pass through Greg. It's not a 'mesh' network, it's a 'star' network. If no Greg then nothing exists.

Something must be created that exists without Greg.

Time to pivot

Two years no product. Two years no specification, no users, no demo, no nothing.

Time for change.

How about:

• Every day: a link to a freshly-made demo you can run in your browser.
• Every day a new creation that can be tweeted.
• Every day something Facebook peeps can like

Is this possible?

Web Site that is timely

I want an Abantech web site that updates morning, noon and night.

• All the time showing fresh shiny new things.
• And it updates itself, we have to do nothing
• Hint: the web site tracks our commits, comments and coolness

with the group directly... How can we make this easy to do? What would
entice James and I to post the way suggested by Theo? Anyone? concrete

We have again achieved device parity with RealSense and Leap - using 3rd

I found this link recently:

It is about learning what the hand is doping based on sensors both on the
wrist and with a visual sensor. The point being is that there is a lot of
RECENT research in out area and a lot of funds/grants that are going into
it. We have a good business case: abstracting human input for existing 3D
software - what is the problem we are having with conveying this?? Is it
me> Am I_I_ the sole person dropping the ball? if so please let me know
if/how I can adjust accordingly

• There's a million dollars in prizes.
• It's sponsored by Intel.
• One of the three required devices is a RealSense camera
• Successful applicants will be paid to participate in a widely-watched reality TV show filmed in LA

If we need to define a project, improve our promotion and marketing skills and increase our communication throughput then I can't think of a better way - even if we don't succeed.

Can you Efficio-enable it so the movement generates some interesting messages?

I talked to the people at Intel's Greatest Makters at MaikerFaire and
posted something on our google group to that effect. Did not get any
replies. The other caveat to this is that the output of the project needs
to be something tangible that uses their products.

i.e. a robot that is gesture controlled by intel realsense. The end product
cannot be software alone, unfortunately. However, I got in touch with a guy
who is interested in helping us with the business side of things because
he's got some grand plans to incorporate 3D printing into AEC somehow
(rapid prototyping?)

I'd be glad to integrate Efficio into this and was about to when Leo
walkedin just now. Takes minutesandI might even screen record it for your
benefit (so you can see Efficio integration in action)

I LOVE the way you think! excellent way of issuing a challenge. As I may
have stated previously, this provides us with an opportunity to showcase
that Efficio is not only for graphics and 3D rendering - that is, the
"consumer" application of Efficio need not be only something that can be
visualized on screen (i.e. AutoCAD 360, 3D programs, etc)

We could use it to show that Efficio can be used to fly a drone (but that's
been done many times before). But we can also use it to control a robotic
device. I've been playing around with Arduino for this very reason... I'm
thinking we can make something as simple as an appliance for home
automation - a snowblower that can be operated remotely using cameras &
sensors. To a battlefield Command & Control system where a general sees the
entire battlefield (think final scene of Ender's Game
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fg3h-fzjxjQ - notice how much he uses
gesture control!) while individual infantry units see what's going on in
their head's up displays. Perhaps that or something more benign.

Could you talk more specifically about the use of two hands? For example, the left hand controls the direction and position of the drone, while the right hand controls what the RealSense camera is targeting

Talk more about the snow blower.
