[ALPS]: Windows installation #118

Category

ALPS Installation (problems installing ALPS packages)

Describe your question or issue

I am trying to install ALPS from binaries on Windows.

Image

When I run the command to install pyalps, the process always terminates when it tries to build the wheel. I ran task manager alongside this process and the WSL CPU and memory usage spikes when the process terminates. I checked the computer for viruses (there are none), it is just WSL that is using up all the resources. I have 16 GB of RAM and 477 GB of storage, and I’m using AMD Ryzen 7 CPU. I turned off all firewalls to ensure they didn’t interfere with the process. WSL also usually disconnects soon after the process terminates. Is there a way to prevent it from terminating?

Environment (if installation or code‑related)
